The Gentlemen players of Rubislaw were started in the summer of 2008 to give members of the Hockey section the opportunity to play 20twenty cricket.

From the outset the emphasis was on playing the game for the love of the game. This is reflected in our final league position where more ruthless and quite unashamed "win at all cost" teams occasionally got the better of us.

We will be entering a team again next year and are convinced that the Spirit of the game must be upheld at all costs. To this end we will continue to give Simon out LBW, James Donald will drop as many catches as Duncan scores runs, and Williams will make a mess of fielding positions every 3 overs.

Congratulations to Martyn Budd who won the league batting cup thanks largly to to the Gentlemen who supported him.
