Men’s Section

Aberdeen Grammar Hockey Club have 5 men’s teams that play at National to District league level.  The 5 teams offer players of all skills the chance to play competitive hockey & advance up the teams if they have aspirations of playing for the 1sts Team.

Aberdeen Grammar 1st Team - The 1st's compete weekly in SHU National League 3 playing against team from across Scotland, from Inverness to Glasgow.  Training twice a week, & with the support of a manager, the team plays at a high level of hockey & looks to promotion in the future.  They are also entered in the SHU Scottish Cup each year, reaching the quarterfinals in the past few years.

Aberdeen Grammar 2nd Team - The 2nd team compete in the SHU Regional League North.  They play against a number of teams competing for promotion to the national leagues, & other 2nd teams of National league 1-3 sides, from within the Grampian & Tayside area... so there’s no easy game.  They take part in the SHU Scottish District Cup each year.

Aberdeen Grammar 3rd Team - The 3rd team play in the SHU North District League 1.  They play against a mixture of local 1st teams & other "3rd" teams of National league 1-3 sides from within the Grampian area.  They take part in the SHU Scottish Reserve Cup each year.

Aberdeen Grammar 4th Team - The 4th "Veterans” team play in the SHU North District League 2.  They offer a competitive level of hockey to the older members of the club.  However, many represent the club at the highest level as they play for the Scotland's Veteran team.  Weekly they play against a mixture of local 2nd/3rd/4th/5th teams of clubs from within the Grampian area.

Aberdeen Grammar 5th Team - The 5th "Colts” team play in the SHU North District League 2 also.  The team is made up of a mixture of younger players stepping up to adult hockey from under 18 level & adults players from across the club.  Again, the 5th's play against a mixture of local 2nd/3rd/4th/5th teams of clubs from within the Grampian area.
